All these models are showing timeout error, some have no date range and some are having some date range. yet all are failing with same error.

What are the troubleshooting steps for this issue? This is critical, I hope someone can help me on this.

Hi @Avivek ,

Based on your problems, here are my answers. It seems that the models are experiencing a timeout issue during the refresh process.

First of all, I think you need to make sure that the gateway is not overloaded with requests and the version of the gateway needs to be the latest version. This link you can update your gateway: Update an on-premises data gateway | Microsoft Learn

Secondly you can add timeout settings. For non-Premium workspaces, the limit is 2 hours, and for Premium workspaces, it's 5 hours.

Also you can consider using incremental refresh. You can read this document for a further study: Incremental refresh for semantic models and real-time data in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Finally you can also examine the refresh history in Power BI to determine the pattern or specific table that caused the timeout problem: Data refresh in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Best Regards

@Avivek Looks like either a problem with your gateway, some ADO.NET provider. What source are you using? Maybe you need to upgrade the gateway? I would do that first and then if you are still having issues contact support.

You could check the Issues forum here:
