Hello,
Is there any way to replicate the Tableau style of aligning x-axis across two charts?
The left side shows the Tableau method, which auto-aligns the two graphs because they are technically one visual with a shared x-axis. The right side shows a replication in Power BI, which is technically two visuals and hence the x-axis is not shared and are out of alignment as per the red dotted line.
The solution isn't just to adjust the width of the chart containers, because that is not responsive to value changes (e.g. a slicer might filter the values so the top chart numbers become much smaller, perhaps from $150,000 to £1,500 say, and the carefully and manually adjusted graphs will be out of sync again).
Maybe there is a special graph type I can download or something? Or some kind of clever trick?!
Thanks
Regards
Richard
Hi @Richard_100 ,
As far as I know, each visual format is independent in Power BI so it may not support this feature currently to align x-axis across two charts automatically.
Perhaps you can submit the requirement to ideas and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

@Richard_100 , You have some padding options, other than I doubt you have some options. Also, for multiple measures, we can not configure small multiple measure wise.
Thanks for your reply, can you expand on the padding options thing please?
Thanks

Richard
