Aggregation tables on dual mode

neeHello guys,
I´ve created an aggregation table on my data model. I am using it as dual mode do keep it fast (local cash) and still being able to update (direct query), but as soon as I try to setup the aggregation, I get this error :

"

Error Message:
Partition 'AGG_SHOPPINGBB (2)' of table 'AGG_SHOPPINGBB (2)' may not operate in Dual mode. Change the partition mode to Import or DirectQuery."

So, is not possible do use aggregation tables on dual mode or am I doing something wrong? If so, why couldnt use dual!?

Hi, @Frbelotto

Based on the error message you're experiencing, you're trying to set up an aggregation table to run in dual mode, which isn't supported by aggregation tables in Power BI.

For detailed guidance on setting up and managing aggregations in Power BI, we recommend checking out the official documentation on aggregations in Power BI Desktop:

User-defined aggregations - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

To resolve the current issue, you'll need to set the aggregation table to Import or DirectQuery mode, depending on your specific requirements for data freshness and query performance. If you want to get fast query performance by refreshing your data occasionally, import mode may be the best choice. If real-time data updates are critical, DirectQuery mode is more appropriate.
