I am getting my data using the API calls but I also need data that is not available via API calls so as of now I am thinking of getting this data into Excel and getting it into Power BI. Since this data is not going to be updated by itself I am going to need to update this Excel every time when I want my dashboard to show the most up-to-date information. I was curious what other members in this forum would do this situation and my idea is only way to go.

If it's something that HAS to be manually exported, technically you could have Power Automate Desktop perform the actions you do to export and upload to SharePoint, though the scheduling of it etc will trigger licensing costs so it's not going to be a "free" option.
What system is it coming from?

yes it is manually exported. It is external appliction that we use for our calls.
Put your Excel file on a SharePoint/OneDrive, and connect to it via SharePoint Folder connector.
