I have a table; the source is a .csv that I download from a website. I forgot to add a column/field when I created the csv file download. I have over 30 transformation steps. When I try and refresh from the CSV file, the added column doesn't show. I've tried to add it in various ways, but I'm striking out. Short of deleting the power bi table and starting over, can anyone tell me how I can get this "new" column/field into the Power BI table?
You should check the steps here one by one and determine in which step your columns disappeared. If you still can't see the column you added in the source step, there is a problem with your refresh or delimiter.

It never disappeared. I didn't have it in the original .csv when I created the table. I clicked get data, from csv, pointed to the file path and file, clicked okay, Power Query Opened and I did my transformation work. All good. The thing is, I didn't have the column in the csv that I am now trying to add to the table. It never did disappear because it wasn't there in the first place.
To put it another way, I subscribe to a real estate data service. The service permits people to create custom downloads. You pick the fields you want, save it, and then when you're working a new project and need new data, you make the query and download. When I setup the download, I missed/forgot a column. This is why it's not in the table.
I've edited the download from the service to include one new column or field. I can see it when I open the csv in Excel or Notepad.
When I try and refresh, it doesn't get added to the table.
I've tried the step where:
and add it via inserting the code which in this case is , {"Public Remarks", type text}, but I get a message it didn't find it in the table.
In the desktop DataView I've tried to add a column, and It works, but it doesn't show in Query Editor.
There has to be a way to add a field from the csv.
The original table from the csv file.
I have a new csv file which has the column I forgot in the original.
I refresh and the data changes as I expect but the column I added to the new csv file doesn't show.
I verified the column in the new csv file exists.
Not really anything to screen shot.
