I have tried few different ways to resolve, but cannot I understand what I am doing wrong. I have a date table named Date connected to the Invoice date in my data. For slicer, if I use any of the columns from the date table as it is, its working fine. But if I create a new column, and use that new column for slicers, calculation in my visual is messed up. Example: I created a Qtr-year column to get a combined value using:
Hi @jan0204
Just as @Idrissshatila and @sayaliredij post that it should work fine.
But if your initial slicer's logic is filter by only one day, when you change it into Qty-year, the error could be caused.
You'd better re-write the measure.
Or if you change the field which you used in the measure an the begining into the new column(Qtr-year column), the Data-type are different of these two field.
It's better if you can provide more detailed description of what you did, or provide some sample data. It would be helpful to find out the solution.

I was trying to create a sample file to share, but for some reason cannot recreate the same issue in sample file. Thank you for your feedback though.
Hello,
what do you mean by messed up, is it not showing or showing wrong , but as @sayaliredij mentioned, it should work fine since the relationship is on the date column and this new column is just showing the data per new field.
