Hello - this community has been of great help to in learning PowerBI from scratch. I have been able to create some very powerful dashboards thanks to your generosity with your time and knowledge-sharing.
Question
How do I insert new columns to a warehouse from which my data source is imported without causing the measures created to break?
Concern
I have created over 150 explicit measures. All are dependent on data from transformed and duplicated columns.
Based on my analysis, I have realized we must add new columns to our Data Source.
My research of the community forums shows that inserting columns can be problematic.
Boundaries
Before I request that our tech team update the warehouse and cause my datasets to break, I would like to know the right way to do so and still preserve all the custom measures that I have created.
Warehouse
Amazon Redshift
Manipulation
All Manipulation I did was in the Transform Data tab of PowerBI

@jadhalaoui . Open transform data/edit query. Right click on the table name and open advance editor. If you see a column list, Go ahead and add the required column.
