Add weeknr to date hierarchy

Hi,

I would like to add weeknumbers to the date hierarchy within my datetable in Power BI.

Now automatically the year, quarter, month and day is in the hierarchy, but I would like to add week to it.

How do I need to do that?

  • Hi Anonymous ,

Week is not automatically in the date hierarchy, but you can manually create a new hierarchy.

Right click the Year column, select Create hierarchy, you can rename the hiererchy as needed, then right click other columns(Qtr, Month, Week, Day), select Add to heirarchy >New Hierarchy.

    Get the newly created hierarchy.

Here's a article about this: Power BI Date Hierarchy: Learn to Create and Use.

    Hi Anonymous ,

As far as i know we can't do that in auto date time intellgence generated date hierarchy , but generally for such cases we need to create a new hierarchy in which we can include a week no.

    Thanks,
