Add new columns to the existing data set and refresh

I have a stored procedure from SQL database which i use to query the data every week. But in the sql database some new columns get added. But my fetch query remains the same. Now with the refresh it will give me an error when there is a new column added. How can a establish a new fetch altogether with the newly added column in the SQL database ?

Thanks in Advance !!

Hi  @shettysunith  ,

You down load the pbix file in power bi services, and open it by using power bi desktop (after testing, adding new columns in the sql database, refreshing with power bi desktop can be successful).

After successfully refreshing in power bi desktop, a new data set is formed and used in power bi services.

@shettysunith , I have tried with excel by editing the power query source in the advance editor

@amitchandak  this is when you know what column is getting added or removed. In my case the report is published on PBI service on office 365 and there is a scheduled refresh. This refresh fails when columns are added. Is there an option to reload like how it happens when first time data source is mapped ?

@shettysunith , maybe automation using power bi cmdlet, But I doubt I tried this.
