Add a Target File to my Model

Hi Guys,

So i have my data connection and model already setup(Import connection method to SQL Server).

So i can easily see transactions and activities across multiple tabels in the business.

However i have been asked to benchmark the actuals against targets.

Problem is the targets where provided on a file which i need to upload to power bi and then connect to the model. So i can say Eg, Transaction target for the month is XYY vs actual for the month is YZA using a visual. How do i go about setting up this file and then uploading it to power bi so its easy to compare especially when i am required to compare daily, weekly and monthly targets..

I would appreciate a way to set up the target file with dates that can be drilled daily, weekly, monthly in comparison to same dates on the data model.

Thanks.

Your requirement is not so clear, could you please share some sample data and clarify more details about your requirement?

I'm not sure I understand the predicament. You can store it locally and use a gateway. You could potentially put it on OneDrive. SharePoint Online, Azure Blob Storage, etc. You could just import it as well from just about anywhere. What type of file is it?

Sample data might not hurt.
