A draggable bars appear above the chart

Hi everyone,

I met an issue today, when I try to create a new chart in Power Bi, a white draggable bar appears above the chart. Like this:

If you hover over or select the chart, it will appear, and if I didn't select, it will hide. So how can I remove this? Could you please give me some suggestions? Much thanks!

  • Hi again 🙂

The dotted lines around the page represent the page boundaries, designed to help the report developer understand the layout constraints.
These lines appear only in Power BI Desktop and are not visible to users after publishing.

Specifically, the top boundary can be "hidden" by changing the displayed page size setting to "Fit to Page" (this only affects the display, not the actual page boundaries).

However, this does not change the fact that these are the defined page limits.
If the issue is that there is too much space between the top boundary and the slicers, this is not something that can be adjusted through the Page Settings.

The only way to minimize this space is by reducing the slicers' internal padding in the formatting settings.

  • Hi RRRylee

I'm not entirely sure what exactly is bothering you in the image, but it looks like you're referring to the Header icons row.
This row contains icons that provide additional information and allow various actions on the visual, such as viewing applied filters and making visualization-specific changes.

If you want to prevent users from seeing this row, you can disable it in the Format pane under the visual settings.
Note that in Power BI Desktop, the Header will still appear since it is a development environment. However, after publishing the report to Power BI Service, end users will not see it if the option is disabled.

See the attached image for reference.

      Hi Ritaf1983 ,

Thanks for your advice! I want to move these to the top, near to the wallpaper dotted line. But I can't do that, because there's a white bar on this.

      Anyway, thanks for your help😊
