A Complex matrix or a complicated tabular data

Hello Community,

I worked with powerBI 3 years ago. Now I have to switch back to powerBI from tableau. I am trying to create a table/matrix with multiple columns and rows which i have easily acheived in tableau. However, I am trying to do something similar to that and I couldn't acheive it powerBI due to the limited matrix/table visulazations.

I am trying to acheive something like the below image in powerBI. I have multiple columns  & multiple rows where I am trying to pivot a table  & add some calculations to it. How can i acheive this? 

I really appreciate if anybody can direct me to acheive this.

Hi Isha_Learner ,

You seem to be drilling down into the columns, try 'Rows' instead.

When I add my columns and rows they are going into compact form like the below screenshot.

To avoid this collapsed sheet. I tried to  drill down and use tabular layout. I am still having issues. I have to expand every row to show in the data.

I have huge data and expanding each and every row is not something i can think of. 

I really appreciate your help for reposnding to this issue.

If you see the second image. I have used the drill down and only columns expanded. But My rows did not expanded.

@Isha_Learner I tried at my end and I can make the switch between columns and rows. If not in your case, I suggest you to close and re-open your pbix file and then check.

@Isha_Learner Could you exlain what issue are you facing in Power BI? In matrix visual, you can also add fields in Row and Column options
