32766 characters cell limit workaround?

Hi everyone,

 

I am trying to change the encoding of my image files to base64 within power query using Binary.ToText function and use the result  as image  URLs. However, not all images are loading completely since the the base64 conversion is more than the cell characer limit. Any known workaround?

@danextian,

How about you upload these image files to OneDrive, then use the image URLs in Power BI Desktop?

@danextian,

You are able  to connect to files on OneDrive using web connector in Power BI Desktop. And you can use SharePoint Folder connector to connect to OneDrive folder.

In your scenario, you would need to copy embed image URL to Excel and import Excel file to Power BI Desktop.
