Dataflow Gen2 (CI/CD) – Monitoring hub does not show detailed error logs

Hi community,

 

I’ve noticed something while monitoring a Dataflow Gen2 (CI/CD) in Microsoft Fabric, and I’d like to confirm if this is expected behavior.

When I go to the Monitoring hub, I only have Historical runs that I can see that my dataflow failed etc... but the item name is not clickable : I can’t open the run details or access the error log directly from the Monitoring page.

To check what went wrong, I have to manually go back to the workspace, open the dataflow, then go to Recent runs → Start time to view the detailed log.

Is this by design for Dataflow Gen2 (CI/CD) items, or is it something that’s still being implemented?
It would be very useful to have a direct link or log view from the Monitoring hub itself.

Thank you for your follow-up. Currently, detailed run log access from the Monitoring Hub for Dataflow Gen2 is not available. You might consider submitting this as a feature request to Microsoft. If it gathers enough votes, it could be included in future updates.

Hi @AntoineW,

The behavior you’re seeing with Dataflow Gen2 (CI/CD) in Microsoft Fabric where you can’t click through to see detailed error logs directly from the Monitoring Hub is actually expected. The hub is meant to give a quick overview of your runs, but if you want to dive into specifics, like activity-level errors, you’ll need to go into the workspace’s refresh history.

Is there any plan in the roadmap to enable detailed error log access directly from the Monitoring Hub in future updates? like for notebooks or dataflow gen2.
