Hi,
I setup a VNET gateway for fabric which i can see i can use if i try to connect to a SQL server db but when i use get data in data flow and select IBM db2 Database it wont allow me to use the virtual network i set up, only an onprem network.
The authentication to this database requires the VENT im looking to see how i can ingest this data.
Any help appricated.
Thanks,

Hi @Nikhil234
Currently, the IBM Db2 database connector in Dataflow Gen2 does not support the use of VNET gateways. Instead, it requires a local data gateway for authentication and data import.
Here are the steps to follow when setting up a local data gateway for an IBM Db2 database:
Install the local data gateway. Download and install a local data gateway on a computer within your local network. Log in with your user account to configure the gateway.
Create a connection for the local data source. Navigate to the administrator portal in Microsoft Fabric and select Manage Connections and Gateways.
Create a new connection, select Local, and provide the necessary details for the IBM Db2 database.
Connect the local data source to Dataflow Gen2. In the workspace, create the Dataflow Gen2, add the new source to the data stream, and select the connection established in the previous step.
Perform any necessary data transformations and set data targets.
This setting should allow you to ingest data from the IBM Db2 database using a local data gateway.

Thanks Nono Chen,
Is there any plans to change to change allow this in the future/ maybe make this avalible through data pipelines.
I will need to see if setting up a local gateway is possible for a temp soluation but the VNET is the desired soluation.
Thanks again.
