Fabric Synapse Data Warehouse: unable to create measure

I'm following the tutorial below, but I cannot complete the section: Write DAX Measure

Tutorial: Microsoft Fabric for Power BI users - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

After I hit 'New Measure' it shows the input box to start writing the DAX code, however after 3 seconds, the following error will pop up (as shown in the attachment) and doesn't allow me to create the measure.

Is this in default semantic model or did you create a new model?
