P01 - Google Mobility %

As posted previously, a band chart is a basic line chart enhanced with a shaded area displaying the upper and lower boundaries of a group of data or the range between the maximum and minimum of all members of the group. Many thanks to my friend Robert Mundigl for the inspiration of this replica. His blog-post on this underrated chart type is a must read.

Now, let's combine the powers of a band chart with another interesting metric: Google Mobility %. And let's add some interactivity like switching the field dimension upon which the iterators on the calculations of the average, min and max are based on. On this requirement, field parameters come to the rescue. Huge thanks to Google for making available the dataset for this example.

Because the size of this example exceeds the maximum file size (47 MB), you can download it from here: Google Mobility %. Feel free to poke it.
