A Power BI Report submitted in response to the 360 Giving Data Viz challenge looking at grants/awards provided to charities and orther organisations in the UK between 1998 and 2018.
Specifically the report seeks to answer the key challenge questions:
1) Who has funded what themes throughout the years?
2) User-led organisations: Who funds them, in what thematic area, how much funding do they receive and what type of organisation are they (e.g. CIC, charity, co-operative, community group)?
The themes are identified by combining the data in the GrantNav dataset (CSV) provided with the charity classifications provided via the UK Charity Commision (as made available by Olly Benson).
From a visualisation perspective, the report makes use of report tooltips, drill-through pages and a clean design aimed at telling an effective data story.
