Hi Team,
I have created a data pipeline to refresh the semantic model using the semantic model activity.
I would like to know the limitation if any tables or columns that are hidden in the semantic model are being ignored during the pipeline execution.
Please help here.

Hi @Thyagarajulu99 ,
When you refresh a semantic model using a data pipeline, hidden tables or columns in the semantic model are generally not ignored during the pipeline execution.
1. Hidden tables or columns are not visible in reports or dashboards, but they are still part of the model and can be used in calculations and relationships.
2. Including hidden tables or columns in your model can impact performance, especially if they contain a large amount of data. It's important to optimize your model to ensure efficient query performance.
3. If you are using DirectQuery mode, hidden columns can still affect query performance and data retrieval, as they are part of the underlying data structure.

So how do you refresh hidden tables? We need these tables refreshed as the tables are bridging tables and we don't want to expose them to self service users. many thanks
Hi,
i've recognized that invisible tables in the semantic models are not updated with the task. Is that a bug? How can i also include them to be refreshed?

You either refresh a semantic model (or a table or a partition) or you don't. This is entirely unrelated to hidden artifacts.
