Rest API Failing

I have a web API on a server hosted outside of the cloud on a private network.

In ADF the "test connection" is successful.

In a VM I am able to connect to the API and query it, they are supposedly on the same network.

The API has basic authentication and the certificate is invalid but I checked the box to bypass that check.

When I click "verify data" the connection times out and I have no idea why.

What now?

thanks.

Hi @seasicksimon

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.

Apologize for the inconvenience.

As I understand that you are having some trouble verifying data in your web API connection. To assist you more effectively, could you please confirm which platform you're using for this integration: Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Microsoft Fabric Data Factory?

Thanks.
