If folder already exists in target, it does not allow me to deploy pipeline. Is there any solution to this issue ?

Thanks,

Girish

In Target, the folder already exists, will it cause an issue ?

Hi @girishtharwani2
Thank you for reaching out microsoft fabric community forum.

Yes, the existing folder in the target workspace could definitely be causing the issue. If that folder wasn’t created by the deployment pipeline itself, it might not be “bound” properly, which can lead to the kind of error you're seeing.

A couple of things you can try:

  • Move or rename the existing folder in the target workspace, then try the deployment again.

  • If that folder isn’t needed or can be recreated, you could also try deleting it before redeploying.

  • Also make sure everything is properly bound between source and target workspaces — that often helps avoid these kinds of errors.

If this solution helps, please consider giving us Kudos and accepting it as the solution so that it may assist other members in the community
    Thank you.

Target already has folder created however if I want to add new pipeline to Target folder do I need to move it to root folder every time or is there any better alternative ?
