Has anyone tried to connect to an on-premise SQL Server database using a Fabric Spark job definition or a notebook? I am able to do so using a data pipeline (via an on-premise gateway). However, I would like to know if it is possible in a Spark job or notebook.

Hello @MK007
Spark notebooks and SJD in Fabric cannot use the On-Premises Data Gateway for connectivity to on-premises SQL Server databases
VPN/ExpressRoute for direct network access or Managed Private Endpoints for Azure Private Link connectivity could be a possibility. I haven't tried it personally
