show customers ordering a product for the first time

Hi everyone.

Fairly new to this so hope this isnt a daft question.

I want to run a monthly report which shows a list of customers who have ordered any product for the first time. I thought it would be simple by all my attempts have failed.

I.e.

Customer ABC ordered item WIDGET1 x 10 for the first time last month.

Customer XYZ ordered item WIDGET400 x 5 for the first time last month.

Any help would be appreciated.
