performance difference between cube and pbix?

I see a huge performance difference, when I stopped using the "automatic" measures: like:

(this happens when I drag the column and implicitly does it)

Against doing the proper measure:

Sum xyz:=
SUM('Aged xyz'[xyz])

Is there a performance difference? why is it?
