need help with ranking

Hello, trying to rank each persons "Player Name" highest value of "Maximum Velocity".  I've been successful showing a rank but it's including every single max velocity value and not just their best, and I just want it to rank each persons best against each other. The data set is very large so I provided an example below and would like the final ranking to look like this:

Ath 4 - 17.05 - Rank 1

Ath 5 - 15.4 - Rank 2

Ath 2 - 14.53 - Rank 3

Ath 1 - 14.04 - Rank 4

Ath 3 - 13.76 - Rank 5

Create 2 measures:

M1 = MAX(TableT[Maximum Velocity])

M2 = RANKX( ALL( TableT[Player Name]) ,  [M1])

Put them in a table with Player Name

I think to achive what you want you need to use Matrix visual. Raw will be athlet and value will be velocity.

RANKX(ALLSELECTED(table(athlet name), Tablename(Max velocity),Tablename(Max velocity),DECS,Dense))
