Using sum & min in Dax queries

Hi All,

Does anyone know how I can sum the lowest value for each category?

I understand we can use the min formula. However, it also gives me the minimum value of all categories in the grand total.

For example, If I use min(Project Name), the grand total in a table shows a grand total of 1 but will accurately show A = 1, B = 2, C = 3. What I need is a grand total of 6 (1+2+3).

This is what my data set looks like

ProjectValue
A1
A10
B2
B20
C3
C30

What I want to achieve as a table in Power BI

ProjectValue
A1
B2
C3
Total6

Any helps is appreciated.

Cheers,

Kev

You have to sum the minima over projects. Something like:

sumx(
  // would be better to run over ProjectID;
  // iterate over something that is unique
  // to the projects
  distinct( T[Project Name] ),
  calculate(
    min( T[Value] )
  )
)
