Using a slicer to include values, not exclude

Hi, I have a table of records that have various statuses as a column. For example, the statuses are:

  • Approved
  • Closed Won
  • Closed Lost

The users would like to see only Approved and Closed Won values by default on the page. In addition, they may also want to "add in" the Closed Lost values to see those as well. However I'm getting stuck trying to use a slicer to add in values and show more records on the page, rather than exclude.

The easiest way would be to add a slicer that says "Exclude Closed Lost" and have it ON by default. And then for them to see Closed Lost they uncheck it to then show all values. But this logic is convoluted and could trip up users.

Instead I'd like to have an "Include Closed Lost" slicer that will then additionally show the Closed Lost records when checked. Otherwise by default, it should be unchecked and only show Approved and Closed Won records.

Is there a way to do this? I've tried using Data Groups, experimenting with SWITCH statements, as well as trying various filters "on this page" but I can't get it working properly.

Thanks in advance for your help!

- Sean

hi @Anonymous

maybe you can try to use field parameter to switch between two measures, one with, one without Closed Lost.

Thank you @FreemanZ. I wasn't aware of this new preview feature. I'll try this as a solution.
