SELECTEDVALE Alternative

Please help with an alternative to SELECTEDVALUE since this is not supported in excel power query. Here is a sample of what I was trying to do.

Budget Selected Period =

var selectedperiod = SELECTEDVALUE(SelectPeriod[Select Period])

Return

switch
(
true(),
selectedperiod="Current Month", [Budget CM],
selectedperiod="Quarter To Date", [Budget QTD],
selectedperiod="Year to Date",[Budget YTD]
)

@ronaldt5

Please use

Budget Selected Period =
VAR selectedperiod =
    IF (
        HASONEVALUE ( SelectPeriod[Select Period] ),
        VALUES ( SelectPeriod[Select Period] )
    )
RETURN
    SWITCH (
        TRUE (),
        selectedperiod = "Current Month", [Budget CM],
        selectedperiod = "Quarter To Date", [Budget QTD],
        selectedperiod = "Year to Date", [Budget YTD]
    )
