Programmatically query power bi dataset using linked server

Hi Team -We would like to query power bi dataset programmatically using DAX . We have set up linked server in SQL Server (( installed sql server on Azure VM) . However , When I click on test connection the connection fails with access error . Can some one please suggest how to fix it or alternative options (( Note / I have looked into executeQueries Api but it doesn't Suppport PBI dataset with RLS. We have RLS in our dataset

@abhiram342 , Are you able to acess the sql server using sql server management studio on the machine you have power bi. Have you opened the port and done ip whitelisting?
