Problems with dax count for table with text

Hi,

I am trying to count the total # rows in a table for a specific column (plus another 2 calcs):

adverse_sus_ind_#_rows = COUNTROWS(FILTER(equty_report_table, equty_report_table[adverse indicator]))

However, the result is blank. This column contains fields with text (format), but also numbers, %, etc. What am I doing wrong? Why do I just get blank when there around 450 records with text in? Would it make more sense just to use a filter (keeping in mind that I need to also do this based on %)?

I need to do 3 things, total # rows (all rows, about around 450 + 200 blanks, so no text in the fields), and then # of rows with text (content) and # rows without content (blank). On top of that, I need to show what that is in % (so how many lines are blank / no content).

This is for a data quality dashboard.

Cheers,
Carsten

hi @cmfaarvang ,

try like:

measure1 = COUNTROWS(FILTER(equty_report_table, equty_report_table[adverse indicator]=BLANK()))
measure2 = COUNTROWS(FILTER(equty_report_table, equty_report_table[adverse indicator]<>BLANK()))

measure2 = COUNTROWS(FILTER(equty_report_table, equty_report_table[adverse indicator]<>BLANK()))

Thanks a lot for that, did not think of that, works great.
