Percentage from grand total based on category

Hello everyone,

I have a number of applications that came from different sources and I'm trying to calculate the percentage of each source from the total.

In the example below, I want to have a column that calculates the percentage of applications that came from each source like this: 36/933*100 = 3.85% (Agency)

80/933*100 = 8.57% (Internal)

and so on... at the end to show a total of 100%

Is there a way to do this?

Thank you very much,
Ovidiu

Hi @OvidiuNeacsu ,

Please see the pictures below, the first one shows a truncated version of your table with the Calculated Column formula that I used. The second shows it displayed as a table.

If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos are nice too.

Hi @Nathaniel_C

Thank you very much!

I thought that would be the formula, but it doesn't work unfortunately for me because apparently I cannot make a SUM that was previously a SUM (or at least that's what I believe it's the problem. I get 2 errors:

Candidate_IsSubmitted is a column with 1 and 0's

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Mate, please do yourself and us a favor and paste your model schema in here. You need a measure, not a calculated column, I believe. And the measure must be based on ALLSELECTED to be fully dynamic.

Best
D.

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry, I am not sure what you mean?
