Parallel Period giving Future dates

Hi, I am trying to compare the sales on monthly basis,

I am using the following DAX

Net Stock Value Calc =
CALCULATE(SUM(PartsStockSummary[NettStockValue]),
FILTER(PartsStockSummary, PartsStockSummary[StockDate] = MAX(PartsStockSummary[StockDate])))

Net Stock Monthly Change % =
VAR __BASELINE_VALUE = CALCULATE([Net Stock Value Calc], PARALLELPERIOD(Dates[Date], -1, MONTH))
VAR __VALUE_TO_COMPARE = [Net Stock Value Calc]
RETURN
DIVIDE(__VALUE_TO_COMPARE - __BASELINE_VALUE, __BASELINE_VALUE)
