PARALLELPERIOD and multiple dimension values

HI,

i created a measure that calcuates a sum of the previous year value using PARALLELPERIOD function.

below is my measure:

BIM PD (Owned) Previous YearEnd =

CALCULATE ( SUM('FE Values'[BIM PD (Owned)]),PARALLELPERIOD (FE Date'[Date],-1,YEAR))

so 'FE Values' is a fact table in the model and 'FE Date' is the date dimension that is related to the 'FE Values 'table (one to many).

If i use the measure with any of the FE Date attributes it works fine, however, when i use attributes from another dimension that is related to the FE Values table i get multiple rows returned because the dimension values changed from the previous year to current year.

Here is the data when using just Year from FE Data and the BIM PD (Owned) and the new measure:

ParallelBefore.PNG

but when i drag in the Divison Name from teh Client Dimension Table (which is also related to the FE Values table), i get this:

ParallelAfter.PNG

so it looks like because the Div Name is different from the previous year (went from Eastern to Central, the grid shows both values.  However, i just want to show the current value for 2021 for any attribute.

Remove the Division Name from the visual again?

It's not clear what your desired outcome is. Can you illustrate?
