Monte Carlo Simulation for calculating number of items

Hi there,

I'm after help form this community in doing a Monte Carlo simulation (specifically 10,000 sims) that can do 2 types of calculation using Azure DevOps data.

We currently track the number of items a team completes in a WorkItems table that contains data like so:

I want to be able use this data to calculate:

1) Given a number of items (entered by the user), how long will it take to complete these items (visualised as a histogram with the percentiles plotted like so)

2) How many items are likely to be completed by a given period (like so):

I want the user to be able to control how much historical data to use, how many items to forecast OR how many days to forecast

Any ideas how this could be done?
