Market Share Calculation with a fixed basis

Hi all,

I am relatively new to Power BI, switching from Excel (as an Excel/VBA specialist).

I have a table which has a given total and 5 brands. The Turnover can be calculated by the sum of Value. So I have all the values, but I need to add the share.

Total        250

Brand1    100

Brand2    50

Brand3    10

etc.

So this means that the brands do NOT add up to the Total. So in order to calculate the share of each brand, I created a dax formula, but that only shows the share for the Total (not for the brands). I think I did something wrong, but cannot find the right solution. Any help on this is welcome.

I tried this:

MS % =
DIVIDE( CALCULATE(SUM(DATA_MAT[Value (€)]);
CALCULATE(SUM(DATA_MAT[Value (€);GEOGRAPHY[Order] = 1 ))))

and

Market Share =

VAR Volume =
SUM ( DATA_WEEK[Value (€)] )
VAR AllVolume =
CALCULATE ( SUM ( DATA_WEEK[Value (€)] ); GEOGRAPHY[order] = 1 ) )

Both give me an error and not the needed solution. If anyone knows how to solve this, very much appreciated.

The sum of each brand is the sum of all the sku's, which is working fine. I guess something is wrong in the syntax or formula, but I cannot find the solution.

Cheers,

Jan
