Inventory Flow / Supply Chain Network

Hi All,

This is my first time posting and not sure I am in the right forum, but hopefully someone will be able to offer some insight.

I am trying to brainstorm ways to represent inventory movements at an order level. The idea is that I will be able evaluate historical order data, to assess the time between each stage of the process to identify lags / weak points in the supply chain network.

I am simply hoping to find some inspiration on what approached and visualisations in Power BI might best accomodate this requirement.

End goal will be to:

- seach order number, or, aggregate at part / category over time

- add a what if / sensitivity analysis component to test the system for shock

- allocate risk ratings to a supplier and segment them for further visualisation/analysis

- provide a health rating to each customer profile (which in this case is a project)

So for instance, the process would look something like this:

1. customer/project makes request

2. quote sent to supplier

3. supplier responds

4. order sent to supplier

6. order delivered to distribution centre

7. order delivered to customer/project

My thoughts so far have been leaning towards using a sankey or network diagram, although im not sure that these are the best fit.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks
