Hi experts!
I hope you can help me.
I have 2 tables, one has a list of 'events' and their individual sales orders, with event date and sales date which I have used to create a 'Weeks Out' column to show revenue weeks out from the event start date. I am showing this as cumulative sales in a line chart, I can compare this to other events.
I need help with adding in the target 'sales pace' line. The first table, with the sales on, has a column showing the final revenue target (which I can add as a target flat line on the chart).
However, I have another table which shows the % sales pace based on the aggregate of comparible events sales. I want to show a 'pace' line on my chart using this % at weeks out, ending at the final revenue target from the first chart...
I need a DAX command to work out the % of final revenue we should be at if the 'weeks out' number matches.
To complicate this further, the % pace depends on the event type - so as an example below there are 3 different event types, each one should be at a different % to target at xx weeks out. Assuming event A is a conference and event B is a screening.
When I add a chart on BI, I'd like it to show the pace for the event type selected (table 2), ending at the event revenue target of the filtered event (table 1).
Is this even possible...? I do this in an Excel spreadsheet manually by selecting 3 similar events sales by weeks out, bringing out the aggregate % per week, then put this into a column with current sales in and target value to reach to see if we are on pace. I'd like to make it more automated.
Thanks in advance!!
