Identifying records from table with Join & End dates within a date range

I'm trying to create a measure that will return the records where a Join Date falls before the last date in a date range, and the Close Date after the first date in the range, or is blank. The following doesn't return any records where the Close Date is blank, is there an obvious reason?
There is an active join between the Date table and the Join Date, as I only want records with a Join Date returned (many of these have a blank Close Date), but when deactivated it it returns all records in the table, regardless of the date slicer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated (the blurred items all reference the same table).

hi,

I am not sure how your semantic model looks like, but I tried to create a sample pbix file like below.

Please check the below picture and the attached pbix file.

Thank you, that does work as expected.

It is the same method that I was using, which means there must be something within my semantic model that is at fault. I will investigate that to find my problem. At least you've reassured me that the DAX wasn't at fault.

Thanks again.
