I can't see or edit DAX when I download from powerBI online

DAX and many other functionalities aren't working, nor can I view the previous DAX that's already in the powerBI file that I downloaded from my company's account (which is also my account)

I need to make edits to this dashboard that the person who had my position before me made, but again, I can't do anything to the DAX!

Please help:)

Hi  @hillelkrief ,

You need to verify the Connection Mode of the report, if you can't see data view in the left, your report is in live connection mode. So you can't view Dax formula of measures.

I need it to keep a live connection though. What I just found that works, downloading what is called the "dataset" and not the "report"

I don't totally get what the difference is though, if the dataset IS a report

@hillelkrief , When you download the file, it gives two option these days

Use the first option
