How to get the name of Parameter Field Table using DAX

Hi,

I m using 2 Parameter Tables on the page and would like to use single measure to control the elements to be displayed.

For example if I choose the parameter on the left side, it should filter the values of Parameter Fields on the right hand side.

I could accomplish this by creating 2 separate count measures and filtering them as below.

However, is there a way I can get the Parameter Table name[PARAM LHS/PARAM RHS]  (not the field value) so as to create a switch and handle counts in a single measure?

var _selectedGroup = [Selected Group LHS]

RETURN SWITCH(_selectedGroup,

@modi123p - If I understand your ask correctly, you want to have a 2nd slicer that shows the values of the selection from the first. If this is true, you dont need DAX, you can do this by copying the slicer and then choosing "show values of selected field" see below:

The 2nd slicer will then take the values from the column selected in the first:

No... my intent is to get the name of the parameter table that holds the field values inside a measure.

I could check on the selected value and compare it with the list (as its only 4-5 in number) to infer the Parameter Table Name. But I was wondering if there is a cleaner way to do it. Sometimes(UNFORTUNATELY).... when I drag the Parameter fields, I see 'Table Name'[fieldName] .... is there a DAX expression that I could use to get the Table Name?

Unfortunately, DAX doesn't have a built-in way to figure out which table a selected value came from, there’s no function that can return the name of the table where that value originated.
