Highlight color coded values using a marker

Hi,

i created a matrix and colour coded them in cell elements as below(1st image). ignore the number in them its used for ranking /sorting (2nd image).

The values used in the matrix are nathazard column in rows, merged in Column and firstmerged in values. I then enabled switch to rows option under values.  all comes from single table which is called nathazard table.

merged is combination of 3 columns -nathazard, index & severity

I have a separate table with sites info which also have nat hazard and severity. where each site having one seveirty. i created a relationship of many to many where site table will filter the nathazard table below reference . Nathazard table have all the values and site table will have have only values realted to site thats why we see a blank in last column of below table

now i want a marker to highlight that above matrix visual like whenever a site is selected a marker is placed on the specifc severity . the site shouldnt filter the values just highlight it like below . and it has to be dynamic and change posistion as per the severity for the site

Thanks for letting us know your user experience.  According to your case description, I do understand how frustrated you are now.

Nevertheless, according to our measured results, I feel regretful to inform you that it turns out to be a by-design one.We currently can't modify the cell borders of a matrix visual based on a slicer's selection.

Of course, you can try to distinguish the Custom Visual Marketplace to see if it meets your needs.

Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded bed on customers’ feedback.  With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.
