Hello,
I currently have a table with dates ( please see attached), I would like to count how many entries per date to put it onto a card visual so I can see how many lates for example we had on one day.
For example
01/01/2023- 35 entries made
02/05/2023 - 4 Entries made.
If you look at the Calendar 28th March is on there mutiple times I would like the table to count how many times it is on there so I can then use it on a card to say how many on the 28th were created.
I can then filter this down on PowerBI using the card visual and select the date to see how many entries are made.
Hi, I am not sure if I understood your question correctly, but I tried to create a sample pbix file like below.
Please check the below pictures and the attached pbix file.
Expected result measure: =
VAR _t =
ADDCOLUMNS (
Data,
"@countrows", COUNTROWS ( FILTER ( Data, Data[Created] = EARLIER ( Data[Created] ) ) )
)
RETURN
CONCATENATEX (
SUMMARIZE ( _t, Data[Created], [@countrows] ),
Data[Created] & " - " & [@countrows] & " entry(entries) made",
UNICHAR ( 10 )
)
It looks a good way however the card I would like it just showing the number for the day. (Please ifnd attached image)
For example I have taken 23 sick calls today and if i filter it by date on the image it will let me see that 23 people called in sick, if that makes sence?
Hi, Thank you for your message.
I think the solution is related how you model your data, because I think, it shows count of rows in the fact table.
Please share your sample pbix file's link here, and then I can try to look into it to come up with a solution.
Thanks.
