Hi I have a report that I'm running which has staff absences listed per staff member . One column is the absence start date, second column is the absence end date and finally a date showing the number of days lost between the date range. I need to work out how many absences in a 3 month period but I'm struggling to do this. Could anyone please help

You're not answering my questions. Show a sample of the relevant data/tables
Again, what 3 months? Is it the last three months from today? is it the first 3 months from the contract start date?
Please mark the question solved when done and consider giving a thumbs up if posts are helpful.

Hi @Anonymous
You need to explain the problem better. What 3-month period? What exactly will be counted as 1 absence, a block of contiguous dates with absence? Please show sample data and the expected result, explaining the reasoning behind it

Hi sorry that would have helped. So I work in education and a period can start from the start of a contract so for example if I started on the 1st January 2021 and I was absent on 4th January for 1 day the 8th January for 1 day and again today that would be 3 separate occasions in less than 3 months from the start of my contract. The problem I'm having is there are so many contracts that start at different times that I'm struggling to find away to do this.
