Filter slicer on a slicer from the same table

Hello, 

I have a calendar table that consists of a few years. I am currently trying to filter my visual using the year column and the date column from the calendar table. However, when I select a year from the slicer, it does not slice to that year for the date slicer. Is there a way to do this?
