I've dimensional data which includes "published year". I would like to add a conditional column that changes based on the year(s) the date range of the sales data meaning if I fx. select sales data for 2020, the DIM_releasedate should show "Frontlist" for all projects released in 2020 and "Backlist" for titles published before 2020. It needs to look at the must current year if sales date for multiple years are selected.

@Persenjr , A column can not use slicer value , You can create measure
example
var _max = year(maxx(allselected('Date'),'Date'[Date]) )
return
Switch( true() ,
year(Max(Table[projects released])) < _max , "Frontlist" ,
year(Max(Table[projects released])) = _max , "Backlist" ,
"Other"
)
