Hello Experts,
I am looking for a possible solution to accomplish the below use case.
Requirement:
Based on user’s selection on band limit (Amounts), number of policy count has to be reflected in a matrix table.
Raw Data:
PolicyID | Policy Type | Amount (INR) |
P01 | Accident | 10,000 |
P02 | Life | 25,000 |
P03 | Unemployment | 50,000 |
P04 | Accident | 100,000 |
P05 | Life | 75,000 |
P06 | Unemployment | 20,000 |
P07 | Accident | 30,000 |
P08 | Life | 65,000 |
P09 | Unemployment | 80,000 |
P10 | Accident | 95,000 |
P11 | Life | 5,000 |
P12 | Unemployment | 15,000 |
Front End Solution (Without exchange rate conversion):
Below limit options should be flexible for users to pass their values for each bands / limit.
Limit-1 | 20,000 |
Limit-2 | 50,000 |
Limit-3 | 70,000 |
Based on above inputs from user, table should reflect result as shown below.
Limit-1 | Limit-2 | Limit-3 | Limit-4
Policy Type | <=20,000 | >20,000-<=50,000 | >50,000-<=70,000 | >70,000 |
Accident | 1 | 1 |
| 2 |
Life | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Unemployment | 2 | 1 |
| 1 |
Front End Solution (With exchange rate conversion):
PolicyID | Policy Type | Amount (Original Currency - INR) |
Amount (USD) - TOBE CONVERTED IN BACKEND |
P01 | Accident | 10,000 | 120 |
P02 | Life | 25,000 | 300 |
P03 | Unemployment | 50,000 | 600 |
P04 | Accident | 100,000 | 1,200 |
P05 | Life | 75,000 | 900 |
P06 | Unemployment | 20,000 | 240 |
P07 | Accident | 30,000 | 360 |
P08 | Life | 65,000 | 790 |
P09 | Unemployment | 80,000 | 975 |
P10 | Accident | 95,000 | 1,150 |
P11 | Life | 5,000 | 60 |
P12 | Unemployment | 15,000 | 180 |
Below limit options should be flexible for users to pass their values for each bands / limit.
Limit-1 | 300 |
Limit-2 | 500 |
Limit-3 | 800 |
Limit-1 | Limit-2 | Limit-3 | Limit-4
Policy Type | <=300 | >300-<=500 | >500-<=800 | >800 |
Accident | 1 | 1 |
| 2 |
Life | 2 |
| 1 | 1 |
Unemployment | 2 |
| 1 | 1 |
Could you please advise on the steps to implement this in Power BI?
