Hi All,
I am new to this forum and will try my best to explain the issue i am facing as clearly as possible, I apologise in advance if i make any mistakes or was not clear enough please let me know.
In Power BI I have tried to use the Field Parameter tool (Under Modelling in the Power BI ribbon):
and I am just having a really hard time getting it to work. What I ideally want to do is create a chart with dynamic x and y vaues that the user can select. I have tried numerous ways and for some reason have just not go it to work 😞 For some reason it keeps on showing a count, when i do not want it to do that I want it to show the values from the table. For example, when a user selects PCN and Asthma, I want it to show the summed values of Asthma patients across the PCNs.
I have created a calcuated table which I am trying to use with the field parameters to allow the user to filter and select what they want to see. This sums all of the columns by PCN and GP Practice, which I have got to work fine no issues there. The issue occurs when I am trying to use the field parameter tool in Power BI to filter the below data:
Example data from the calculated table:
If anybody has more experience with this tool and knows how to overcome this, then I will be very grateful.
Thank you for your help.

@navjot1317 , to me it seems like the axis column and measure is missing the relationship
I have tested this quite a few times, refer

Hi Amit,
Thank you so much for the resources provided.
I watched your youtube video and it was very helpful, I decided to not use the tool as I did not get it to work and instead used a SWITCH() statement with my slicer as you did and that worked a charm!
You have earned another YouTube Subscriber, you are a Power BI god 🙂
