Hi all,
Relatively new to Power Bi here, I just have a quick question about the data view. I have created a DATEDIFF column in the data view to look at the difference in days between when a requisition has been approved and when it has been closed in our company's Applicant Tracking System.
Upon creating this column which displays the difference in days, I would also like to create a conditional column to essentially flag if a requsition has been opened and closed within the space of 5 days (If Req Approved - Req Filled ≤ 5, Yes, No), however I noticed that any column you create in the data view is not visible once you go to Transform Data. I refreshed the data set multiple times and the DATEDIFF column still doesn't appear when I go to transform data. Could anybody please help me understand why that is?
Many thanks,
Alex
Thank you for your reply! What would be the best way to create a custom column that gives me the difference in days between two dates in Power Query in this case?
Alex
hi @Anonymous
After you click Transform Data, it leads you to Power Query Editor. The columns you added with DATEDIFF is not supposed to reflect in the Power Query Editor.
You can add custom columns in Power Query Editor instead.
