DAX Improve performance - Starting

Hi guys,

I have a measure that is very slow, this measure depends on the other 24 measures, so I'm testing the performance (DAX Studio) one by one.

The measure is 

Measure1 = STDEVX.P(TABLE1,Measure2)

The total time is 16 ms

9 FE and 7 SE

296 rows

and the other measures is:

Measure2 = divide (calculate(sum(Table1,Field1)),Measure3)

the total time is 6 ms

4FE 2 SE

1 row

The measure3 is:

sum(table2,field2) * calculate(sum(table1,field3)

How can do I do changes in measure 1 to improve the performance? I need to change the other 23 measures, maybe with this example, I can change another.

Good that you use DAX Studio.  Watch a few of their videos where they walk through the important pieces of query optimization.  Look out for the number of query steps, and the number of records that are consumed in each of the loops.  That will give you an idea where you can avoid unnecessary iterations.
