Custom Between Slicer for weeknumber-year combinations

Would it be possible to create a between slicer with as input the weeknumber and year?

Would be something like this:

From: ww-yyyy, to: ww-yyyy.

Currently I can only find options to select days, but this then requires knowing the exact days of the weeknumbers which is highly inconvenient. Therefore the question if there is a option to replace the standard date slicer with this version.

Kind regards,

Max A

Hi @MaxA

Thanks for reaching out to us.

You can try this, create a calendar table,

Date =
ADDCOLUMNS (
CALENDAR (DATE(2022,1,1), DATE(2022,12,31)),
"DateAsInteger", FORMAT ( [Date], "YYYYMMDD" ),
"Year", YEAR ( [Date] ),
"Monthnumber", FORMAT ( [Date], "MM" ),
"YearMonthnumber", FORMAT ( [Date], "YYYY/MM" ),
"YearMonthShort", FORMAT ( [Date], "YYYY/mmm" ),
"MonthShortYear",FORMAT([Date], "mmm-YYYY"),
"MonthNameShort", FORMAT ( [Date], "mmm" ),
"MonthNameLong", FORMAT ( [Date], "mmmm" ),
"DayOfWeekNumber", WEEKDAY ( [Date] ),
"DayOfWeek", FORMAT ( [Date], "dddd" ),
"DayOfWeekShort", FORMAT ( [Date], "ddd" ),
"Quarter", "Q" & FORMAT ( [Date], "Q" ),
"YearQuarter", FORMAT ( [Date], "YYYY" ) & "/Q" & FORMAT ( [Date], "Q" ),
"Week Number", WEEKNUM ( [Date] ),
"Week Number and Year", "W" & WEEKNUM ( [Date] ) & " " & YEAR ( [Date] ),
"WeekYearNumber", YEAR ( [Date] ) & 100 + WEEKNUM ( [Date] )
)

Dear @v-xiaotang,

This indeed partially works, but it still results in problems when you want to see, let's say the period from 48-2021 to 12-2022. There would be no possibility to select this range with the sliders, which is the main goal.

Would you know a solution to this?

Hi @MaxA

Thanks for your reply.

The slider does not support input in the form 48-2021 to 12-2022, this is by design so we usually use the above method instead.
